Conducting & Leading Physical Configuration Audits

Course Duration: 3 Days

This course is intended to prepare the participants to conduct a Physical Configuration Audit (PCA) from beginning to end. Participants will begin with physically measuring hardware in class using standard measuring equipment, and will include using outside diameter micrometers, inside diameter micrometers, height gage, dial indicators, dial calipers, sine bar, go/no-go thread gages and more.
A detailed discussion regarding the plan and content of the PCA event, per MIL-STD-973, MIL-HDBK-61A, and the NAVAIRSYSCOM guide for PCA’s is included.
All drawings, hardware-to-be-measured, standard measuring equipment, textbook and instructor-generated lecture package will be provided by the instructor.
A customer case study will be included.
