Design for Inspectability
Course Duration: 3 Days
The Design for Inspection (DFI) course includes bringing Inspection Subject Matter Experts (SME's) into the product and process development stages in order to share/plan the entire inspection and test processes of a product from product concept through manufacturing, assembly, functional test, final acceptance test (FAT) and final inspection. Subjects discussed will include implementing the AQL of critical, major and minor characteristics, determining how and where to implement SPC inspections, functional gauging, inspection tooling and inspection holding fixtures, creating CMM programs, conducting the functional configuration audit and creating the official Inspection record.
A customer case study will be included.
